Growth Strategy Consultant

Bay Area, CA

About the Role

Blocklead's portfolio companies share a common challenge: they are technically strong but commercially young. As Growth Strategy Consultant, you will work hands-on with three to six portfolio founders at any given time, helping them design pricing, structure their first commercial motions, run growth experiments, and build the go-to-market foundations that will carry them from first revenue through Series A. This is not a deck-building role. We are looking for an operator who has built growth functions inside real companies and can transfer that judgment to founders who are doing it for the first time.

What You'll Do

You will partner directly with founding teams to develop and execute growth strategies tailored to each company's stage, market, and product. You will set up the measurement infrastructure that lets a young company learn from its experiments, design and run pricing tests, structure outbound sales motions for B2B portfolio companies, and advise on early marketing investment for those pursuing PLG or hybrid motions. You will also contribute to our internal playbooks, helping codify what works across the portfolio so each new company benefits from the lessons of the last.

What We're Looking For

You have at least eight years of experience in growth, product marketing, or commercial leadership, with meaningful time spent at early-stage startups. You have personally owned a revenue or growth target and hit it. You are comfortable working across both PLG and enterprise sales motions, and you can speak credibly to founders building in either direction. You write clearly, think in frameworks, and prefer doing over advising. AI or developer-tools experience is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

Prior experience as a founder, founding team member, or first commercial hire at a venture-backed company. Experience working across multiple companies simultaneously, whether as a fractional executive, advisor, or operator-in-residence.
